I probably shouldn't have attempted to write all that. Can point out mistakes if you feel like it, feel free. ^^ I haven't studied any grammar for several months, so what I wrote might not have made any sense at all! :P
I basically was wondering if you are already planning on taking N1 in six months time, even before you've received your results for last Sunday's exam? To study everything for N1 in six months sounds challenging? :) - >>mog86ukさん コメントくれてありがとう。
The result of N2 will not be able to check until the end of Jan. 2015 :) Just as you've said I'm going to take N1 6 months later. In fact I'm from China and studying Japanese may not seemed to be so challenging ^^.However I've to catch up with my university lessons at the same time, so I may become really busy in the next 6 months. I learn Japanese by myself and my goal is not to accomplish jlpt or jtest, I learn it for fun for my otaku interest :D. So I'll make best to cover everything in N1 then take the test to examine my Japanese level. Studying for N1 or for learning Japanese is different (in my opinion). ;) - Haha, nice. I noticed your profile says you are located in Japan, so I was wondering which country you might come from. JLPT would be very easy for a 20 year old Japanese native! :P
Your view of JLPT seems similar to mine. You sound like you'll be very busy. I like your goals. Otaku interest is probably the best motivation for learning Japanese! A true otaku will never be able to hide away from learning Japanese. Best of luck with your studies. ^^ - Thanks :) China's network has a lot of inconvenience (because of our government's restriction) HaHa. Thus I have to use a Japanese VPN to visit websites abroad, and that really broadens my view~ Thanks again for comments & Best Wishes too.

Endings are quite important in Japanese. If you're not careful, you can come off as rude or distant.
I wouldn't use らしい in this case. らしい is more for something you've heard. I would use みたいだね。
Just か for a question sounds harsh or you're trying to pick a fight, lol. I recommend ですか or なの if you want to be informal。「受けるつもりなの？」.
If you use しか, the negative must follow. For example, 「ペンは一本しかないです。」. I suggest ただ or たった for your last sentence. 「たった６ヶ月は難しいと思うな。」feels natural to me.- @Koukyoshi

It's pretty funny reading back what I wrote. I can spot the mistakes reading it now. However, when I was trying to write, my mind kept going completely blank whenever needed to think of any grammatical vocabulary. I ended up awkwardly trying to force the few words I could think of, like らしい and しか, because no other alternative words were coming to mind at the time...
I wasn't even actually trying to sound casual.. I literally forgot about the endings being in plain form... :D
I normally never write conversations with people in Japanese. At the time I wrote that post, I still wasn't sure whether Satoru knew English, but I wanted to reply because he had answered my question. My goal is primarily only to learn to read Japanese, and I'm getting fairly good at that skill. However, as I never practice writing my own sentences, I struggled a LOT trying to compose as sentence of the top of my head. Funny how I can now read lots of words and kanji without looking them up, but when composing a sentence I struggle to bring any of that vocabulary to mind... - You're welcome.
You're preaching to the choir. I didn't become proficient in Japanese overnight. I struggled so much with the language. I gave up many times 'cause I felt I just wasn't making enough progress, but something kept on pulling me back. And I'm glad that happened.
The only way to overcome that is to keep writing. I won't lie; being in Japan has helped my writing greatly; however, I had Japanese friends in NY whom I conversed with daily in Japanese, so that helped, too. Before coming here, I really used the Internet and its vast resources to find people to try to communicate with in Japanese.
Reading, writing, listening, and speaking are all different. They all should be honed individually. That's why being able to pass N1 is no indication if someone can speak or write Japanese well.

Couldn't agree more. I think the environment is really important. There's nobody to teach me even How to learn Japanese. I just brought some vocabulary and grammar books and learn it by heart in my spare time. Being in Japan really can learn fast and passing n1 hardly has something to do with the ability of speaking or communication. Hey I think you're really lucky to have the chance of staying in Japan(^-^)
However on the other hand my purpose of learning seems to be different from yours. I am simply an otaku so I jsut want to understand what アニメ、ラノベ、ギャルゲー is saying. That is, mainly reading, listening ability . So the vocabulary and grammar is important to me, I think.(^_-)
