I know the feeling, I've been studying for a year now and have never formed a sentence with more then basic grammar... But recently I've gotten a better overall "feel" of the language, so... ずっと頑張りしますよね!

Grammar and speaking skills are also important! Once you get the basics down you will be glad you know a lot of vocabulary. Hang in there! 日本語の勉強に頑張ってください!

I know what you mean! Recently my kanji knowledge has increased tremendously and I've also learnt lots of new vocabulary, because this is all I've been focusing on recently. However at the same time, because I haven't really studied grammar at all for a few months, I now struggle a lot more with puting sentences together.

What in particular are you finding difficult?... Sentence order, particle usage, verb conjugation, or something else?

For particle usage, I highly recommend going through the exercises in the lessons on the following site. This should help with getting the sentence order correct and might give ideas on how to naturally form sentences about other stuff in a similar way. These exercises helped me out a lot anyway:
    http://www.all.umn.edu/japanese_language/class_materials/particle_exercise/

(Also, in the lessons on that site, the frame at the top of the page contains explanations for each particle, for how to use them. The frame can be resized.)

みんなさん、ありがとうございます!! :) I have a Japanese friend whom I send e-mails regularly. I practice my grammar skills with her, but every time she sends my e-mails back, I find lots of my sentences in red font... Even the simple construction which I thought were in correct sentence patterns :( Clearly, I have to practice more! はい!頑張りますね!
