I though Safari was barely supported by JCJP. I'm surprised you even managed to edit your profile picture in Safari, because from what I remember this is impossible to do in Safari! ?

My reply: This was off-topic, so I copied your reply in a new post.

I just tested the upload issue in Safari for Windows 7, and I figured it out.

1. Upload the file.
2. Click on the button to change the profile picture/avatar.
3. Refresh the page at least a few times.

It does replace the previous picture/avatar. :)

Oh nice, guess it was fixed then. I found it on Safari 5.1.7 which was the highest version for Windows 7. I reported it on the old bug report website but there was no reply about it getting fixed (or it may have just been a temporary issue which went away on its own).

At the time, even another user mentioned that the idetical thing happened when he tried to edit his profile picture while on Safari 7.0.4 on his Mac!! I wish I could find the post, but not having much luck yet.

Anyway, here's the list of the four Edit Profile Picture bugs I posted on the bug report website:

    1) IE11, Chrome & Opera -- When cropping the image: if the cursor is outside of the image when you let go of the mouse button, then it exits the 'Crop and Finish' screen (as if user had clicked the X). This makes it tricky to crop to the edge of the image.

(However, In Firefox you can freely let go of the mouse with the cursor outside the image area, and it won't exit. Only exits by clicking the X in Firefox.)

    2) IE11, Chrome & Opera -- If you exit the 'Crop and Finish' screen (by clicking X, or because of problem #1), then it won't let you open the same file again (after selecting the same file and clicking open, nothing happens). You have to open a different file, then go back and open the file you actually wanted (or just refresh the page).

    3) Firefox -- The first time you open any file: On the 'Crop and Finish' screen, the image will be displayed squashed as the wrong width and height--always 'width:121px, height:20px;'. If you open the same file again, the image will appear correctly; but if instead you try to open a different image, the same thing happens--'width:121px, height:20px'.

So in Firefox, you always have to open the image you want, exit the 'Crop and Finish' screen, then open the same image again (without leaving the page and without opening a different image).

    4) Safari 5.1.7 (highest Windows version) -- Clicking 'edit profile picture' brings up select file dialogue box, and you can select the file; BUT then, after clicking 'open', nothing happens at all ('Crop and Finish' screen does not load).

I don't have Safari on my computer anymore to test it. So bug #4 didn't happen for you? After you chose the image file and clicking open, then the 'Crop and Finish' screen appeared?

I just realized I was actually using Chrome, not Safari, when I uploaded the profile picture/avatar today. Safari still does not change the profile picture/avatar.

On Safari, the crop/finish pop-up screen does not appear after uploading the new profile picture/avatar. Bug #4 still exists.

On Chrome, the crop/finish pop-up screen does appear. To change the profile picture/avatar, follow the steps I mentioned at the top.

I've been trying to locate the post by the user that says it doesn't work on Safari 7.0.4 on a Mac... And then, after like 30 minutes of looking, I suddenly remembered that he posted it in Chat... And now I couldn't even find the message if I wanted to, because of course, Chat isn't working! XD

Bug #3 still exists too. Pretty sure they all do, but I'm not that interested in checking it out again as nothing was said about it being fixed at any point.

Bug #4 is the only one which makes it impossible to edit the profile picture in the browser. The other three bugs just make it difficult...

Strange. Uploaded the exact same 117x120 px image file as my main account cropped in the exact same way, yet this time the image size is 244x250 px?
Only difference I can think of is that mog86uk profile picture was probably uploaded on Chrome, but for this account I've used Firefox...
