  しめ is end rather than die, but they're similar (and I'm not sure but might be loosely used as synonyms)

  To make things right. They are the same form of one verb Shinu: to die. Normal Shinu is basic form whereas shine is in imperative. Thats it

  You might be thinking of しね ?
  死ぬ (しぬ) is the plain dictionary form of the verb "die"
  死ね (しね) is the imperative/command for of that verb, as in shouting "die!" at a zombie when you're about to kill one. ^^
  
  Or you could politely ask the zombie to die with:
  死んでください (しんでください). Haha. :D

  Sure you don't mean 死ね instead of しめ? Because that would be the imperative form of the verb 死ぬ, and it's used frequently in anime ("Die!").
