Are you on about the Fairy Tail seasons available on Crunchyroll?
If so, I think you mean "Series 2", which is actually Season 5. And episodes listed as 1-50 are actually episodes 176-225 of the anime. At the end of Season 4 there was a long pause where no new episodes being made. However, a year later, new staff began working on Season 5, and now this is referred to as Series 2.

I was planning to start watching Fairy Tail, not because I think it looks good (because I saw the first episode a few years ago and thought it was lame, or maybe it was a trailer with just a stupid English dub...) but because friends keep talking about how awesome it is.
However, since episodes 1-175 aren't available in the UK on Crunchyroll, I haven't bothered starting it. I'm not going to start at 176... silly Crunchyroll... ><
