  lol it's cool i suck too....lol this convo ain't going the way it should...lol um i'll start one in the forum. I guess simple sentences if that's all you know, try in japanese and in english what your trying to say, and we'll go from there

  This is pretty much exactly what the Chat feature was originally intended for. :P

  But a forum thread may still work out better for what you want to do, especially since Chat is kinda deserted... I tried to start something similar before in Chat by asking really basic questions in Japanese, so that anyone could answer for practice at writing their own sentences in Japanese. Things like:
  
  ・お名前は何ですか？
  ・ご趣味は何ですか？
  ・...
  
  A few people responded and it worked fairly well. Once the first person writes their sentence, other people know what kind of thing to write and can answer with their own name, hobbies, etc. You can just answer it yourself first to get the ball rolling. ^^
