- I, honestly believe JapaneseClass.Jp isn`t the best resource for completely understanding Japanese. Anki, Genki & other`s are a necessity in my opinion. Rote learning (Intense repetition, till can be repeated in head.) I believe is necessary in some cases.
As for resetting your account, I`m not sure, just repeat old lessons?September 28, 2015 at 10:43pm - I think it's a good tool *in addition* to the other resources you listed. Using JCJP by itself is tough.
That said, I like Memrise more than Anki, especially since I'm budgeting my time and preparing for the JLPT.

- I don't think it applies to just JCJP, any single resource isn't enough to fully learn Japanese. As for vocab, it is hard to just constantly pound new words without any context or use for them. Easy to access sample sentences would help - like an Anki sentence deck.September 29, 2015 at 2:12pm
- I think it is tough, because it lacks the aspect of repetition.
JCJP has the oblivion option, true, but the timespan there is far too long. (For me) And I have the feeling, that the practice section doesn't cover all words/kanjis. Is this really the case, or just my imagination?
So normally I take the vocabulary and kanji from here and add them to my Anki for the repition aspect.
Furhtermore as Kimbo said, learning words alone is not enough. To grasp the actuall meaning of a word easy sample sentences are helping a lot.
For a start looking at JCJP and then in addition some other resources, when necessary, helps me a lot. So I really like JCJP.September 29, 2015 at 6:24pm - JCJP, is a game like resource. So, it`s very accessible however it can get repitive for some and then they may just drop it. I guess what were all saying all in all is that it`s going to take lots of repition and other resources.
I feel like coming to JCJP, without pre-knowledge of other kanji, grammar, words, hiragana & katakana. It`s like stepping in war without a weapon!
Well, that`s just me. Happy learning, everyone!

I think the same thing applies to those learning another language besides their own: sometimes you need textbooks, posters, movies, radio shows, songs etc. I think it's just good to mix things up so you hear the language in all the different ways that it's used.
If you just use one platform, you might get tired or bored, and people sometimes blame the platform for this rather than the need for diversified methods. Words and phrases are used in a variety of ways, even if I learn a word on JCJCP, it's good to see it combined with other grammatical forms and words "in action".September 30, 2015 at 10:36am
