私は今夜食べていません。

Does this look right? I think I may have gotten the sentence wrong. I feel as if I should omit the "い," but I am unsure. If anyone could clarify this for me, it would be greatly appreciated. ありがとう!

I'm not good in Japanese, but this looks right to me, of course depending on what you intended to say. This means, up until now you haven't eaten tonight. (Correct me, if I'm wrong)

The い is fine. Japanese will sometimes omit the い sound from the te-form which creates a faster ,smoother way of speaking. Although the sentence may not be incorrect, it's probably not a natural sounding sentence either. For example, "今夜、まだ食べていません" would be one way of saying it.

Thank you both for your responses. I figured I would ask for opinions because I do not construct Japanese sentences as often as I should, and I was not sure if I got the sentence right or not.
