Is it possible that instead of multiple choice questions to use type in questions?
I am catching myself memorising the right choice independent of the kanji/vocab
therefore it is useless knowledge.
Or just add more choices that you then randomly output?

It was possible in the old jcjp version, but not anymore. It was ideed a good feature...u.u

I believe mog86uk made a mod for this, but I'm not quite sure though...

In the old version of JCJP, it showed the 4 answers and had a text box underneath to type the answer which you think is correct. Since you could still see the answer choices on the screens, this typing feature was fairly pointless.

So I think that's why it disappeared. I used it a few times by trying to cover up the answer choices, but it was a lot of hassle and had other problems.

I made a userscript mod for typing on this current version of JCJP. I haven't distributed it though (other than to Beeant and a couple of long time users of JCJP), as I don't want to cause any problems for this site. Hopefully one day this feature may be implemented officially. ^^

Oooh, it was like that? xD

Totally different from my imagination hahah Maybe it was because I wasn't so active when the old version was on ^^'

Well, makes sense it disappeared then u.u

Here's a screenshot on the disused JCJP development blog, showing what the old Practice looked like with the text input answer feature:

Here's an old screenshot showing the typing mod I made:

that looks not bad, would be nice to have but i guess one would need to type exactly what’s written in the right multiple choice answer, which my result in ambiguous questions?

That mod looks really nice. It might even be worth considering implementing it on the practice mode. :)
