So I am trying to handle school (mid terms are this week) and learning Japanese at the same time and I was wondering if anyone knows any good study methods? Like flash cards or whatever else 030 I am open to any ideas. And if there are any ways to work around school without getting too stressed out I would be glad to accept suggestions for that as well ^.^

For your first question, I use flash cards (Anki) to leran vocabulary. It is working with both languages I'm learning pretty good. And even when you get frustrated at some point, never give up. Make a break for a week and then get back to the language.

I suggest to make a plan for learning, so then you know when you "fulfilled" your working pensum. Furthermore: make breaks. Really, try to make after a given time. When I learn for exams I usually learn for about 90 minutes and then making a short break of 15 minutes, then the next interval of 90 minutes and so on. While doing breaks, try to move, eat something healthy and so on. It sounds very like a stereotype what I wrote, but it's working for me.
The last thing I do is sport to get my head free of all this stress,

I just review about 1 level a day of vocab using the quizzes. I split up level 5 into 2 different days though, cause that's a really long one. I do it first thing in the morning because I won't consistently feel like doing it later in the day after all my energy is gone.

I see that makes a it more sense. I usually try and study around times where I have study hall or math lab which is earlier in the morning. I do feel as if I am more willing to study in the morning since I seem to have a lot more energy. Thanks for the tip!

I'd suggest Memrise. It's an SRS like Anki, but unlike Anki it does not ask you to judge whether the question is right or wrong, but rather asks you to answer it, and if you get it right, good on you, if you get it wrong, you got it wrong. Quite often learners are too lenient on themselves, after getting it wrong and seeing the right answer "well, I knew that, of course...".

I study before bed, then I dream in Japanese, and get extra practice. Studying before sleep also helped when I was at university.

Then good luck for midterms ;)

Thank you everyone for the good advice! I'll make sure to use them in the future. And thanks ;.; I have been really stressed out because of midterms... Though luckily today is my last day of testing... And hey I have gotten pretty good scores so far! So I guess that's good... I just moved not to long ago and I have realized this new school is super easy. I have all A's for once in my life here. I am quite shocked.

That's great to hear. Then now you can push your Japanese.
