To say "heart filled with sin" would be 「心に罪が満ちています。」
I'm not going to do a full explanation of every particle, but with respect to this sentence here's the breakdown:

に tells you where something is, "locationに..."

が is the subject marker, but more specific than は. It's complicated. Here's an example sentence for wa and ga (i stole this from tae kim i think)
"The book is interesting" would be 本が面白いです, not 本は面白いです。
This is because saying "本は" can mean "the book is the embodiment of all things interesting" (basically saying that if say something is a book it means the same as interesting), rather than you describing the book as being interesting.

There's more about both of those particles on Tae Kim's grammar guide here

    心は罪に満ちています is correct.
    心は罪を満ちています is incorrect.
    心に罪が満ちています。is grammatically correct, but I don't feel it's natural.

    本が面白いです。this sounds weird. it's incorrect.
    その本がおもしろい。is also incorrect.

本は面白いです。 is correct, but talking about this, the person loves reading, and tell (reading)books is(are) interesting.
    その本はおもしろいよ。 is correct and natural.
This means "The book is interesting." The person shows "THE" specific book.

Thanks guys I definitely agree with mogmog about the natural feel, alot of the time I hear and see が inferred through the usage of は.
