Do most 2 Kanji compounds have the same meaning if written in reverse order? The reason that I am asking this is because it could potentially double learned vocabulary. Your input is most highly requested.

Family names have similar meanings if written in reverse, however most kanji have entirely different or no meaning at all, if written this way.

I'm confused. You asked the question but seem to have answered it yourself? oO

Since you asked the question in the first place, I'm wondering what examples you saw where the meaning was the same when written either way round?

Didn't find any so far, but was hoping that there must be several examples. 日本・ほんじつ、same kanji but different meaning in reverse. yamakawa/kawayama, yamashiro/shiroyama,......
