Go to Account Setting/Edit Subscription, uncheck all the boxes then you're OK.
I did that and I'm still getting notifications on my email.
if you tried everything and still cat stop it just move all emails into your spam folder in your email?
If you're really desperate, instead of using the "subscriptions" settings go on "email" instead. Simply change the email address you've given to a different/fake/gibberish one. But obviously be careful not to change it to a real one that might be owned by someone else though... ^^
