I know exactly how you feel. :(
I spent a month travelling in Japan in September-October last year. I could barely even use single words as I had never practiced speaking them. Even though I'd learnt to read thousands of words and kanji. I also struggled a lot with listening skill for even the words I did know, because I'd always focussed learning only to read Japanese (which is what JapaneseClass.jp and Slime Forest Adventure are almost entirely focussed on).
I knew lots of grammar too. But because I'd never practiced forming my own sentences with that grammar, I couldn't make up any sentences on-the-spot when I wanted to speak to people.
Meeting lots of cool Japanese people and then feeling sad that you can't communicate with them as well as you'd like, it really inspires you to start learning and practicing more seriously to speak Japanese.
