↑Primarily for buying digital format manga, but it offers plenty of volumes to read for free too. Every week they have a small selection of around 50 full volumes that you can download and legally own permanently for free. Also it lets you preview the first several pages of virtually any volume on the site for free. It has almost half a million volumes in its catalogue, and you can find most big name popular titles on there. It's a proper legitimate Japanese company that runs the site.
I've purchased volumes of Crayon Shin-chan on there, with no problems. Paid for it in the UK and without needing a Japanese address or bank account. They let people outside Japan buy stuff on there.
And each week I check the site for the new free download volumes and now have over 450 free volumes on my computer, all owned legally! And many of these are proper big name titles like Attack on Titan, Sword Art Online, Fairy Tail, GITS, Parasyte,... ^^November 17, 2016 at 9:00am - Ah! Thank you so much mog86uk!I have also been looking for a good resource like this!November 17, 2016 at 9:12am
- No problem. If anyone has any questions about how to use that site or its desktop/mobile apps, feel free. I've been using the site for quite a while. ^^
(I don't often read any of the manga I've downloaded though—I'm too lazy to read what can be watched instead—I just hoard it...)November 17, 2016 at 9:29am - There are hardly any manga I've searched for that I can't find on www.ebookjapan.jp ...but, of those few I can't find, a couple of them happen to be the ones I wanted most:
・あずまんが大王 (Azumanga Daioh)
・よつばと! (Yotsuba&!)
I've been trying to figure why I can't find those two on there. Anyone have any idea what the reason might be?
灼眼のシャナ (Shakugan no Shana) is by the same publisher and that series is on there, both in manga and light novel:

Has anyone had any other manga series that they like and can't find it on there?November 21, 2016 at 2:36am - ありがとう!November 22, 2016 at 5:48am

- @Hezr, Is there a specific thing you don't understand? It will be hard to explain the whole site in one go, especially in these comments.
If you are currently at the stage where you can't really read any of the words on that site, then reading manga in Japanese is going to be rather near impossible. But I can understand your desire to try.
A few of the most vital words to learn in order to browse that site (I would make a Notes quiz on here if that feature was less awkward to use):
立読 or 立ち読み(たちよみ)basically means "read without buying", literally meaning to "read while standing (like at a book shop, to decide if you want to buy the book). Buttons with word on them are the main ones to look out for. Click them. ^^
無料(むりょう)= free (no cost)
ダウンロード = download
ブラウザ = web browser
アプリ = app (mobile or desktop app)
ジャンル = genre
すべて or 全(ぜん)= all
男性(だんせい)= male
女性(じょせい)= female
キッズ = kids
探す(さがす)= search
本(ほん)= book
巻(かん)= volume(s)
ページ = page(s)
BASICALLY:
1) Search for any manga you want to read (type the title or author or whatever in Japanese in the search bar at the top of the page; or browse for it using the menu on the left of the page).
2) Then click the button with 立読 or 立ち読み written on it.
3) Then, depending on what you were, either:
a) You will now be reading that manga in your web browser.
b) A pop-up message will show this button: 立ち読みを始める. Click this, and you will now be reading that manga in your web browser.

↑Even easier.. Here's a link to the first 5 volumes of ONE PIECE, which are currently completely free to read. This will take you straight to loading the first page of volume 1 of ONE PIECE. ^^November 25, 2016 at 7:30am - @JACKBOSMA, I must be blind as I can't see any manga whatsoever on that site you linked... ?November 25, 2016 at 9:23am
- @mog86uk Thank you so much. You helped me a lot.
