- I concentrated mostly on Kanji and vocabulary that has connection with them. But I don't know if that is the best way.April 27, 2017 at 4:12am
- I like to write the vocab either into a notebook or into the computer and print it and then learn like 5 or so words a day, then revise it the next day...basically the same system as anki. I also really like sites like this oneApril 27, 2017 at 6:04am
- After much trial and error, I just use the ready made decks on anki with full spoken sentences. 1 kanji a day with sentence written out in notebook. jisho.org is essential. Consistency's a b though.May 3, 2017 at 12:14pm
- memrise, anki, wanikani (totally worth the money spent on it), reading simple jap texts non-stop, using wanikanify add-ons for chrome that insert learned kanji into regular text, plain notes and stickers, studying at least half an hour a day, getting a pen pal on skype - a fellow learner of Japanese for example, writing a short diary each day on facebook or anywhere, using Japanese words whenever you can substitute even when you start sounding weird to other people)). The secret is constant revision and forming stable connections in brain.May 4, 2017 at 5:23am
- I use Minna no Nihongo to study, then got the deck with Minna on Anki and got the deck with Minna on memrise. So, constant revision is guaranteed.
May 4, 2017 at 5:23am - Best way is to learn new words in small sentences - better connections are formed that way (more associations, the image is brighter). I also learned how to do mems on memrise or otherwise - you get an image from google pics and attach some funny sentence to it that reminds you of the word - so to remember a word @lice@ - you could get a pick of a girl with lice (a really funny or horrible one) and then attach a phrase a girl with lice Licks ICE - so this would help you remember. Making mems creats hooks in your memory that are not that easy to forget. So, this is a really cool skill for advanced learners.May 4, 2017 at 5:27am
