- You mean an actual physical keyboard made in Japan? Most people just use their normal English or whatever language keyboard to type Japanese characters.
Are you on Windows, Mac, Linux, Android, iOS, ...? You just need to go into the settings of whatever device you are on, find the section about "languages", and then add Japanese as an input language.June 1, 2017 at 2:35am - or if you're lazy, you can use the google translate keyboardJune 9, 2017 at 10:37am
- You can install the proper thing "Google Japanese Input" on your computer very easily in under a minute and with only a couple of mouse clicks. And then you can type Japanese anywhere on your computer.
To install Googe Japanese Input, the link below is the official download page. Just click "Accept and Install" to download it, then run the file, and then click "OK" at the end. DONE. ^^

@All_Is_On, It takes more work to use the Google Translate keyboard for typing Japanese, because you have to go to that webpage each time and copy-paste what you've written. I wouldn't call that lazy — just more effort and inefficient... :P
The only time it makes any sense to be using Google Translate keyboard is if you are somewhere like school where you aren't allowed to install anything.June 9, 2017 at 10:31pm - Mac: settings > keyboard > Input sources > "+" > search languageJune 10, 2017 at 8:46pm
