Sikorsky used company funds to build the S-67 Blackhawk (N671SA). The Military bought the Lockheed helicopter that was competing with the S-67 for that role. This Blackhawk could carry a squad of soldiers inside, and may have been the inspiration for the Soviet Hind, which appeared a decade later.
