Japanese aircraft carrier Amagi lies half sunk in shallow water at the Kure naval base shortly after the end of the war. Amagi belonged to the last batch of capital Japanese ships built in 1942-43 at great cost. She entered service in 1944 and in July 1945 fell victim to US air raids.
