First I tried けが, then けがをする, then けがする, then きずをつける, then きずつける... This finally matched an answer choice, but it was one of the three wrong answers!
The one it wanted happened to be 害する (がいする)... Bye-bye 1,345 combo. xD

- Sorry for your combo (ˊ̥̥̥̥̥ ³ ˋ̥̥̥̥̥).
Must be pretty hard having to write the answer, since many questions have tricky answers snugged in there.
Where can we download your userstyle? @hazushikatta seemed interested in the challenge.

As for my answer-by-typing mod, I've never uploaded it publicly. I've wanted to for a long time. However, since I bashed it together for myself and didn't care about coding it well or making it user friendly, I feel I need to rewrite it first. Problem is, I'm pretty lazy at getting around to stuff like this...
Also, I've always been concerned whether it might have a negative impact on the site in some way. For instance: if people who don't know anything about userscripts install my mod but don't understand how to uninstall it, then these users might quit the site when they can't proceed anymore because my typing mod is too hard to answer with. Or if the site gets updated and the userscript ends up preventing pages from loading and people don't realise they need to turn the userscript off...
Even though it would be really simple to just upload my userscript right now, and even in its current messy state it would work fine and without explanation some people would even figure out how to use and enjoy it, I worry about too many potential problems that could arise.
Really my mod is only practical to use by high ranking users who have been using this site for a long time. Even a person fluent in both Japanese and English would struggle with my typing mod. A large portion of what you need to know in order to give the correct answer is down to familiarity with the questions and their peculiarities, and also knowing which synonyms happen to have a high chance of being one of the three incorrect answers in the hidden multiple choice list.
However, I have actually shared it with a few users in the past and also with Beeant. I've only shared it with people who I thought would understand how to install and use it without needing too much help, and who had been using this site long enough that they were no longer found the content challenging and at the point where they could benefit from the increased difficulty to put their memory and knowledge to the test.
Anyway, I'd love for a lot more people to be able to use my userscript as I personally have found it very helpful for memorising the vocab and kanji more completely. It also makes great Japanese typing practice. Hopefully soon I'll work on a solution where I'd be able to feel I can release it publicly in a way that won't cause any problems. But I've said this several times before and just been too lazy, so I don't know if it will happen... ^^;January 14, 2019 at 8:28am - Wow I understand, thanks for your concern, I work with software development so I know well how boring it is to rewrite code...
January 14, 2019 at 11:27am - Bleh. Was going so well. I answered 384 questions in 30 minutes with no mistakes, and then messed up on an ultra easy question. I accidentally mistyped おと as あと for 音. I pressed the keys for あ and お at the same time and deleted the wrong one without realising. Why did あと have to be in the list. xDJanuary 20, 2019 at 12:42am
