well, score won't matter if you don't really don't know the words
I'm going for repetition here, doing the lessons, then practicing like hell, my hope is that with repetition the kanji will be carved in my memory. some take more affort, like breaking down what it looks like and try to remember it like that( take the kanji for "near by, 近い, i know that 斤 means "axe" and the part that looks like this: 廴 reminds me of a snail, so I just think of a snail holding an axe CLOSE to his body. I know its stupid but :P
Everyone's pace is different. Take your time learning.

I agree with Lolnada, who cares if you fly through it and get a high score. If you dont soak in any of the words then its all for nothing.
And some people might already know some Japanese. So it seems like they are super quick but they simple learned those words/kanji before they joined this website.
Don't worry, this is not a competition. Like all the others said: It's about you.
The ranking is just supposed to be an extra motivation to try harder, nothing more.
