Talking about Japanese culture, would it be ashameful or wrong to write something using Hiragana/Katakana, in the case we do not know the kanji for it but, we know the pronunciation.
Let's put an example. Somebody transferred to Japan for business, but hasn't time to learn Kanji. In this case it would be easy to learn basic words, but not yet Kanji

Impossible. Hiragana/Katakana are used at the same time along with kanji to make complete sentences. Without either part you will Japanese will sound extremely broken.

Kanji is essential part of writing in Japanese. You can to some degree omit Kanji, and you will most likely still be understood. It might be good to check out the Kanji you don't know anyway, in case you have to use it again. When typing and using electronics, you only have to recognise the Kanji.
So, yes you can, although it's more fun to use it! There will be no shame and it will probably be understood you are not native Japanese. If you're Japanese is a high level, and you are writing something official or important, Kanji is a must though.
This is what I think anyway!

For example, I'd like to say ''mouth'', but I don't know the Kanji for it, so if I have to write''Mouth''(口), as I do not know the Kanji for it, would it be wrong to just write Ku-Chi by using Hiragana?

It's not wrong, and it will be understood especially with context, but if you wrote a whole essay without Kanji it would become a pain to read.
When you type a Kanji in and before you press enter, that huge list of Kanji could potentially be mistaken for the one you mean.

So, if it's the odd word in a sentence, should be fine. If you're asking how important Kanji is as a whole, you definitely need it for reading/writing. If you have the means at the time, I would advise looking it, just so next time you're a little bit more familiar with it. It will make your writing look better, and improve your reading. Be careful not to use the wrong Kanji though! ^^

Certain words like おもしろい、きれい、かわいい is perfectly fine to write them in hiragana if you want, but for the less common or more technical words tend to be very similar or exactly the same as other words too, so Kanji should be used for these.
