- You can switch off the levels you have not yet got to, and then focus on the ones of your level. You can also refresh the page.August 14, 2014 at 11:26pm
- how do you switch off certain levels?August 15, 2014 at 3:56am
- There is a settings button on the practice page at the top.August 15, 2014 at 4:32am
- I possibly should look harder when it isn't 3 am. ^^;August 15, 2014 at 9:42am
- Yes, practice also keeps giving me stuff I've yet to learn. I sometimes manage to guess the right answer, because anime, but more often than not I'm forced to F5August 17, 2014 at 2:52pm
- Though I did find the settings thing, they don't seem to stick very long. For some reason they reset every few questions or right away as though I never hit save.
Yes, cookies are enabled.August 20, 2014 at 3:11pm - The settings normally only sticks for as long as your on that one session. There's no way to make a default setting as far as I know.August 20, 2014 at 4:08pm
- If you refresh the page in Practice, the settings always reset to their defaults. This happens if you get the error message that tells you to refresh, and click the 'refresh' option.
If you want to skip the question, a better option instead of pressing F5 or whatever, is to go to settings again and just click 'save settings' (no need to change any settings). This just loads a new question without refreshing the whole page. Can do this when the error message appears too, by clicking the 'X' to close the pop-up instead of clicking refresh, and then doing the 'save settings' method. ^^
One thing with the level settings though: it only applies to non-oblivion questions. So if you set Practice to level 1, then you will still encounter oblivion questions level 1-6 (if you have any).
Another thing: some questions say 'last encountered a month ago' but do not look like oblivion questions. Oblivion questions are those you haven't answered in the last 30 days. If the question was last answered exactly 30 days ago, I think this is when this happens.August 21, 2014 at 12:19pm - what is oblivion?August 21, 2014 at 12:34pm
- Have you noticed the 'oblivion' item on the navigation bar on the left, under the 'to do' heading. This oblivion list is simply a list of the questions which you haven't answered in the last 30 days.
The word oblivion means 'the state of being completely forgotten or unknown', so the site thinks you are going to forget these words if you don't answer them again to jog your memory. :)August 22, 2014 at 12:13am - ah, i only started using the site recently, so i only just now noticed oblivion (because until now it hadn't lasted 30 days)September 2, 2014 at 7:37am
