@beeant The notifications icon is grayed out, even if there are new messages. All new messages are automatically marked as Read messages when they arrive.
Also, I refresh the page at least 5 times, just to load my Oblivion list.

@beeant Also, every user's statistics page occasionally loads slowly or fails to load.- @beeant The notifications icon is working now. Maybe I just imagined it was not working. ;p
@kekkou, Mine seems to load uses with lots of stats more slowly, especially readings(?). You and Mog are troublesome to look up and often need a refresh lol- @MintyHippo This was a problem that surfaced last year, and was reported to beeant.
@beeant The statistics page is now loading normally for most users, except for @kekkou since I have a high Readings-completed statistics. 
@MintyHippo My statistics page is one of the ones you often have trouble loading? I would have thought mine wasn't too bad, as it seems like Readings is the thing which causes the most problems. I've always tried not to use the Readings feature because of this issue...

Sorry going off-topic, but I can't tell if a reply notification has been seen, so I needed to bring it to attention in a newer more visible post. ^^;- @mog86uk The Oblivion List loads normally on all of my browsers. Maybe the chat issue was also affecting the Oblivion List loading issue. :)
@beeant @mog86uk Sadly, my statistics page loading issue is not related to the chat, and is related to the Readings counter on the page. I tried all four web browsers, and the page still takes 60 seconds to load, even on a 12 Mbps connection. I also noticed that logging in with Facebook automatically loads the statistics page. Maybe re-directing social media logins to load the Social Feeds page may resolve the issue. - The Chat problem is completely unrelated to those other problems. There is no way it could affect them. Chat hasn't even been fixed at all yet either...
The speed of your own connection doesn't really matter at all, because it's the server that times out trying to list all the readings on your stastics page. A 1 Mbps connection would be exactly the same, so would a 100 Mbps connection. I have no idea about the social media thing as I dislike using Facebook and Twitter. I've never tried that Facebook intergration thing on JCJP, but sounds intersting that you can load your statistics page that way. O.O - @mog86uk Okay, I agree with you. Even though the coincidence is pretty scary (that the Oblivion List loading issue occurred around the same time as the chat issue), it is just a coincidence and nothing more.
When I first signed up for JCJP 2 years ago, I was given the option to link to Facebook or Twitter. This allows JCJP to automatically post my Lessons quiz scores on Facebook or Twitter. Until Level 7 is added, I do not need to log in via Facebook, but the one-click login is really cool. :)
