I used to think vocabulary question answer choices were picked completely at random from the full database of other vocabulary questions. Recently I've been thinking it manages to cause situations like this far more often than would happen if it was completely up to chance.
I wonder how it would pick closely related answers though. I've been wondering if maybe it records which wrong answers have been clicked by all the users on the site, for each specific question, then uses this to make the answer choices more challenging... Would be a clever way to do it if that is how it is done. :PFebruary 17, 2015 at 6:49am - I think that it sometimes uses a pre-determined multiple answer pattern, and sometimes it doesn't.
Anyway, a "to report" would have been better. Certainly a double language barrier, even if i'm quite fluent in English, doesn't help :(February 17, 2015 at 6:54am - I think that it sometimes uses a pre-determined multiple answer pattern, and sometimes it doesn't.

I can't decide for sure whether it's just coincidence or if there definitely is a system in place trying to list specific answers to make it more challenging for the user.
It would help a lot if it was "to report". Another idea might be if the answer choices were limited to the same part of speach, so if the question is a noun, then all the answers are nouns, and do the same with verbs, adverbs, adjectivees, ...
I've noticed your posts keep getting sent twice? It happens to other users too but I keep seeing it happen to you a lot. Wonder what is causing that... ?February 17, 2015 at 7:11am - My mouse is particularly sensible :DFebruary 17, 2015 at 8:02am
