Well, quick question.

If I were to say "I am hungry," or "I'm hungry," would it be: "私はお腹がすいた" or "お腹が空きました"?

Yes, the second sentence is ripped from Google translate, and yes, GT is trash. The reason I ask this is because I'm not too good with forming sentences in Japanese. だから, 私を許して下さい. ありがとう!

I feel that "お腹がすいた" is more informal, and "お腹が空きました" is more formal. Therefore, they both mean the same thing, "I'm hungry," but just in different levels of formality.
Though, you can use "私は" before them both, if you'd like.
    Hope I helped!

Google translate often uses the most formal way to write things. Both are fine to use. In an everyday family setting, I'd use 私はお腹がすいた. :)
