    making sentences in japanese isnt that hard. Its OSV ( object, subject, verb) instead of subject object verb. Adjectives are used infront of the subject.

    Exp: 私は日本語を勉強します。(わたしはにほんごをべんきょうします)I learn/study Japanese.

    There are about ten subject particles which determains part of the sentence. Wa, o, ni, to, ka, ga, and no are the top of my head right now lol. What I used in the example sentence are wa, written as ha. And o, written as wo. Wa determains the subject and o determains that there will be a verb. But wait, there is more. You can save the time saying most sentences when you are the object. For instance, if you are a high school student you could just easily say, "高校生です。” Anything else?

    That's very basic Japanese grammar, though. There comes a point that you'll need something more to dig into. I myself have gotten to the point where studying kanji is very easy (since it can be done very easily with an app) and studying grammar is a chore (since it's not so easily done through tests and quizzes).

    Depends what level you are at, but I personally really like IMABI:
    http://www.imabi.net/

    Multimedia sites like this are a cool idea too:
    http://www.gwu.edu/~eall/vjg/vjghomepage/vjghome.htm

    Wikipedia is actually a really good place to go for quickly learning a lot of important Japanese grammar fundamentals. It's a lot better than you'd probably expect!
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Japanese_grammar
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Japanese_verb_conjugation
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Japanese_particles

    I've used dozens of different websites. Hard to choose the best ones. ^^

    @Yazamoto,
    Japanese = SOV (not OSV)
    English = SVO (not SOV)

    And the rest isn't completely correct or is slightly misleading.

    @Arachkid, There definitely need to be some better websites with tests and quizzes for grammar. It is harder create things like this for grammar than vocab/kanji, but I've seen some quiz formats for grammar which work really well. I want to try and create interactive quiz material for helping with learning Japanese grammar some day. I know Renshuu.org actually has some decent grammar quizzes.

    The following site is a neat simple idea for teaching proper use of particles. I've always thought it would be cool if JCJP made its own style version of something like this:

    Not a website but a book! So oldschool. Minna no Nihongo part I and II, I know there is pdf somewhere on the net. Perfect for beginners (need only to know both kanas) I believe it pretty much covers N5 & N4. To me some of the grammar explanations were quite often bit confusing but luckily I had 日本語の先生

    An Integrated Approach to Intermediate Japanese is a book I can recommend for grammar
