Yeah you will, hiragana might be difficult at first, but once you practice it in a way that suits you... you'll find it super easy :) I made my own "learn hiragana" software for an interface design class, and while I was bug testing it I learned hiragana :P

What I did to learn is: Get a hiragana character, write down the "western" characters for it, and check if it is correct. The software I made made it super quick, where I just wrote and pressed the enter key and got correct or not.
I think there is a website that actually does the exact same thing. Spending some time with that makes you learn it in a matter of days (or hours).

This one is really effective, and really easy to get into:

    Good luck!

like timlarsson said, it was frustated at first, but once I found my way to easy memorize all those alphabet, it becomes so much easylier. がんばるよ

You will, just keep at it. Once you get hiragana and katakana down it'll be a huge accomplishment. Soon you'll be able to read and write the kana without thinking about it.

if you have to ask something like this, then maybe studying a foreign language does not suit you. I think you mean well, but honestly the kana is one of the easier aspects of studying japanese. If you are this distraught about hiragana, how do you think you will feel when faced with the 2000+ kanji needed to read a newspaper? As others have mentioned, keep at it, you will need dedication/motivation, time, and practice. If you are serious about learning, and I think you are, then you are way too early in the game to be frustrated for being hung up on something like this. good luck to you.

All you need is patience and determination :) You can do it! ^^

Yea im starting to get it now :) thanks for the kind words.
I'm actually pretty bad at laungages, but since i really want to learn japanese i started pushing myself to actually take a couple hours a day to learn it.
I actually made a "Learn hiragana" software a while ago but i dont bother to finish it, i rather learn it on paper since that makes it easier to remember.

    try this:
    - remebered the order of "a i u e o"

    - then memorize this: a-ka-sa ta-na-ha ma-ya ra-wa. (that's the easiest order to memorize kana).

    - after that, just memorize the kana row by row according to the order from "a" down to "wa" (example a: a i u e o, ka ki ku ke ko, and so on).

    - and then last, if you already memorize them 60% or above, then try to write it in the blank paper everydays (I do it for about 2month, and I can manage to read & write kana now), it takes me 2month because I'm a slow learner and only have a few hours to spare for studying japanese.

note: try to notice that some kana are very similiar, it becomes very easiest to memorize once you get it.

that's for the basic kana, for dakuten such as ga gi gu ge go and so on, I think you won't found any dificulties, that's because it's only added a symbol (forgot what it called in japanese), and for kya kyu kyo or else it only combine the basic kana with ya yu yo.

ah, if you wonder why I told you to start writting kana in blank paper when you only memorize 60% or above not 100%, it because sometimes making a mistake will force you to memorize it again and again. that's work on me, I hate my self when I found it I'm not good in memorize something.

    Thanks for the tips mugen,
I actually have a really good memory, so i learn these things quite fast.
I have almost 60% of the Kana down using the same technique as you did ( i basicly did that from the start ).
I wrote down Every row on a paper and started learning them by rows.
I actually see alot of logic in the laungage.
    Like for example : し shi , じ ji
I see alot of logic in this because they sound almost the same.

And for kya, kyu, kyo etc i have no trouble at all.

    Thanks alot for the tips!
