Japan are lucky we were nice enough to let them win the semi-final by kicking the ball into our own net in very the last minute of extra time. We were more interested in going to the 3rd place playoff instead so that we could play against Germany (and win for once)! :P
Now Japan must make sure they beat America. Can't have America winning against the team which beat us... Japan winning by a huge number of goals would do very nicely. ^^- 2 mins 38 seconds later... ;_;
- Needless to say, this match isn't quite going to plan... Only 15 minutes in... Seriously, nobody look at the score... Nothing to see here... >_>
Ah well, the U.S. was looking for revenge from last time, looks like they'll probably get it.
When this type of match-up happens, some of the teachers are intrigued as to which team I cheer for, lol. The answer is always the US.- Here we go. Japan are half-way back to catching up... ^^

We lost......I was expecting that outcome though...didn't seem like Japan was really trying and didn't practice...got arrogant @.@- Eh, Japan wasn't really as hungry as they could have been, and the U.S. wanted revenge from last time. Second in the world isn't that bad. Wonder if the U.S. team will stop whining now?

Funny the difference between which teams you and Koukyoshi were supporting, considering that he is now living in Japan and you are still living in the U.S. :D
I could understand if Japan were arrogant, as you say, about their chances of winning... I mean they did just beat England, so it's perfectly understandable they thought there was no chance of losing against the U.S. after that! :P 
Imagine if the USA player who scored the most goals was not on the field yesterday? The outcome may have been a nailbiter. Well, Japan won the Women's World Cup in 2011, and there is always another chance in 2018 (Men) and 2019 (Women).- @mog I think that was more of a case of England beating England, but who's to say how it would have ended had that goal not happened.
Glad it's all over, though, and perhaps there'll be no more whining from the US team about the turf now that they took the whole thing. :P - Haha, yeah. USA did deserve to win the world cup this time anyway.
It was pretty painful to watch Japan concede those four goals within the first 15 minutes 20 seconds, especially with it being the final and in front of so many supporters and spectators...
