I had to answer "He is a nurse" over on Duolingo, but the only word for nurse I knew was 看護婦【かんごふ】(which is taught here on JCJP), lol...
I still tried "彼は看護婦です" anyway...
Surprise surprise, it said I was wrong! Apparently there are other words like 看護師【かんごし】which I should have used... Glad I learned this now, otherwise if I ended up speaking about a male nurse in a Japanese hospital it could have been awkward, getting halfway through the word and not knowing how to end it:
"ka-n-go-ffff...." :D
