私は犬夜叉がみます。Is the -masu form correct in this situation and what about the particle "ga"? I am talking about the Anime Inuyasha.

- As for ます, the ます ending only adds politeness to the verb. みる is the plain form and means exactly the same thing as みます. Both are perfectly correct, but adding ます is the better way to end a sentence with less chance of sounding impolite to anyone.
As for が, it needs to be を instead of が. I think the sentence you wrote would be taken more like meaning "Inuyasha watches me". :P
If you search for the verb 見る (みる) in a dictionary it says that it is a "transitive" verb. This is a big clue that the thing the verb seems to be directly acting on is a direct object and needs to be marked with を.
SVO (Subject Verb Object) = English standard sentence order.
SOV (Subject Object Verb) = Japanese standard sentence order.
が is a particle used to mark a verb's subject (person/thing doing the action, in the case of this type of verb).
を is a particle used to mark a verb's direct object (person/thing being directly acted upon).
犬夜叉を見る
S: ---
O: Inuyasha
V: watch / watches
English SVO order = "[Unmentiond subject] watch(es) Inuyasha."
犬夜叉が見る
S: Inuyasha
O: ---
V: watch / watches
English SVO order = "Inuyasha watches [unmentioned object]."
は is a particle usually marking the topic of a conversation. は replaces the が or を if either the subject or direct object is what the topic is about. In a straight forward sentence like your one, the topic marked with は is usually the person doing the action (the subject). However, since you specifically stated 犬夜叉 as the subject with が, this *could* mean the thing は is marking is the direct object instead!
私は犬夜叉がみます
S: Inuyasha
O: me
V: watch / watches
English SVO order = "(As for) me, Inuyasha watches (me)."
(Wow, I got carried away... typed too much before I noticed...) ^^;September 2, 2015 at 4:18am - Even though I wrote all that, I forgot to write the corrected version of your sentence:
私は犬夜叉を見ます。
Bonus sentence below, seeing as this extra post would be pretty pointless to bother adding otherwise. ^^
私は犬夜叉を見るのが好きです。 = I like watching Inuyasha.September 2, 2015 at 4:26am
