Hey Beeant. I'm trying to make use of the Readings feature now that you fixed the related profile page issue (I really like how well that has been fixed). However, now that I'm using the Readings feature I'm noticing several problems.

The most major one is this one I posted recently. I forgot to post it on your feed, so not sure if you've seen it: http://japaneseclass.jp/feeds/comment/7362

I've been trying to use the Search function to find Readings I want to do. However, the results are displayed by ID in ascending order and limited to showing only the first 27 matches. This means for most things you search it only lists old news articles from 2011-2012. I'm sure this would be much nicer if this could be changed to descending order. Should be something very quick and simple to change? ^^

hello mog86uk, glad that you like the fix! :)
As for the Japanese sentence parsing into words, it's pretty difficult to fix, because when the parser is changed all the previous readings would have different set of vocabularies. This means users who have done those previous readings would have so many undone readings. Do you know what I mean? The set of vocabularies in readings are very dependant to the parser.
So I will fix this problem later on with better planning.

As for the sorting, I just fixed it! thank you for the suggestion!

Yeah. I can see it will be a complicated thing to change and may be quite a while before anything happens. I was just checking that you were aware of this. I'm glad to hear you want this thing to be sorted out. :)

Even if you can just make it so that the quiz question furigana matches the vocabulary list kana and encounter list kana, just this much would be a very welcome improvement. Like the furigana for 生 should be いく in the quiz questions, the same as it is いく in the vocabulary list and encounter history, since なま doesn't match the meaning in the answer choices. It would still be using obscure archaic meanings, but at least the question and answer would match. It seems like this part of the fix shouldn't cause any problems for users who have done previous readings?

I like the fix for the search sort order. It's working perfectly so far. Very nice! ^^

While we're on the point of the search function, there is another related problem that should be quick to fix-- If you look at the totals on the right side of the search page, the number for "all"adds up to the wrong number (it doesn't seem to the include the number of Readings results in the sum).
