My Japanese class just started learning 敬語. I'm confused as to the difference between 謙譲語 1 and 2. Anyone can enlighten me to this?

When looking through my notes I have that 1 is used when the action is directed at the speaker as in receiving a type of service. I also have that 2 is used when the action is not directed towards the listener. Just remember that all forms of 謙譲語 lower your own status so you should be the subject.

謙譲語Ⅰ to lower your actions to those above you 「拝見する」「うかがう」「いただく」

謙譲語Ⅱ(丁重語)to say your own actions politely (used when talking directly to said person) 「おる」「参る」「申す」「いたす」

尊敬語 to respect the actions of someone above you 「いらっしゃる」「召し上がる」「ご覧になる」

Yeah, I don't know. I got this from a Japanese website and my Japanese still needs work.
