I just noticed something weird. In vocabulary chapter 47 one of the questions was previously listed as the transitive verb 済ます (すます), but now it appears to have changed to the intransitive verb 済む (すむ)? Its English definition and everything has been changed too.

This wouldn't really matter too much, except that we already have 済む (すむ) only 6 chapters earlier in vocabulary chapter 41. With this new duplicate we've increased from 10 duplicate vocabulary questions up to 11, rather than them going down. XD

Maybe it is possible chapter 47's 済ます was changed unintentionally when meaning to fix the typo in the definition of chapter 41's 済む? Hopefully can be changed back so we return to only having 10 of this type of duplicate. ^^

    I've also checked levels 7 and 8 for duplicate kanji, kanji questions, and vocabulary questions. Last time I did this check was back when we only had 6 levels on JCJP.
    ・Level 7 has no duplicates.
    ・Level 8 has three duplicate kanji questions, but no duplicate kanji nor kanji words.

    So, with that 済む duplicate vocabulary question and these three level 8 duplicate kanji questions, we now have the following number of duplicates:

    Kanji = 83 (all 83 of them are in level 5...)
    Kanji questions = 119 (107 are duplicated once, 6 are duplicated twice)
    Vocabulary questions = 11 (or back to 10 if 済ます changes back)

    -- Total number of unique items in the lessons --
    Kanji = 815 (899 total, minus 83 duplicates, minus 1 non-kanji 々)
    Kanji questions = 1913 (2032 total, minus 119 duplicates)
    Vocabulary questions = 2142 (2153 total, minus 11 duplicates)

    I guess you could say one or two of the 11 vocabulary duplicates are actually unique, as their English translations are worded slightly differently. However the 119 kanji duplicates are all 100% exactly the same as their original.

    There might possibly be a good reason for the 83 duplicate kanji found in level 5 too. For example, the first duplicate kanji 写 (ch.41) is a duplicate of the 写 in chapter 22. There is only one example listed under the kanji in ch.22 写 ("写真"), but there is an extra example given for this same kanji on the ch.41 page ("写真" and "写す").

    JCJP has a very nice number of unique questions though, at around 2,000 for each type. And 815 unique kanji already in levels 1-8 means that by level 10 we will almost certainly have all of the 1,006 kanji in the Education Kanji List (教育漢字表). ^^

    * In my first comment I meant to write: "Level 8 has three duplicate kanji questions, but no duplicate kanji nor duplicate vocabulary questions."

    Also, I should probably have added that duplicate kanji questions aren't completely a bad thing. They do have the exact same question word and exact same reading as the correct answer (and exact same English definition in Encounter History). HOWEVER they can have differences when it comes to the set of three wrong answers listed in their four answer choices. So they aren't entirely without any good points. ^^
