Yes but it would be iru not iro haha They are polite conjugations of those words. They are also a good example of the difference of Ichidan verbs ((iru) one ending) and Godan verbs ((aru) five endings). Ichidan verbs will always end with る but some る verbs are Godan. With Ichidan you just drop the る and add masu (ます) for polite present and masen (ません) for polite present negative. Past tense the endings change to mashita(ました) and masenndeshita(ませんでした) respectively. The main difference is that instead of dropping the る in Godan you change it to the "i" equivalent (り). So いる becomes います but ある becomes あります and はなす (to talk) becomes はなします in positive tense and いません、ありません、and はなしません in negative cases. Just remember this is for polite present tense. There are many other rules for other tenses.

ます auxiliary verb used for adding politeness.

    ある(辞書形), あり(連用形)
    いる(辞書形), い(連用形)
    ます(辞書形), まし(連用形)

・ます auxiliary verb attaches to the 連用形 conjugated form:
    あります(あり + ます)
    います(い + ます)

・た "past tense" auxiliary 'particle' attaches to the 連用形 too:
    あった(あり + た)
    いた(い + た)
    ありました(あり + まし + た)
    いました(い + まし + た)
