quick question... Do you only get 1 exp after missing a vocabulary term the next time you answer it correctly? I missed a term 割る and kind of rage quit before clicking on the correct term. I came back later worked up to a 10x multiplier and then that question came up again. When I clicked it I got 1 exp. Seeing as when I missed the question it was the first time I had encountered the kanji I don't fall under the 29+ answers problem. Does that make any sense to you.

The answer to that should be "no", afaik. However, seeing as every question for me each only ever award 1 exp, I can't say for sure that this hasn't been changed recently (but I really doubt it would have changed to being this way). I think it's more likely to be something else that caused it.

There are two different "割る" questions in the lessons:
    ・割る - Vocabulary Chapter 32
    ・割る - Kanji Chapter 50

The one you described in your other post was the "Kanji" lesson one, which, judging from your stats, it seems likely that you encountered that one for the first time.

The one you described in this post sounds potentially like it could have been the "Vocabulary" one? But I don't really think this is likely either. And, in any case, I don't think you've yet reached 29+ times correct on either of these questions?

The most likely scenario to me seems like the site just displayed the wrong exp, as "1 EXP" is the default text it seems to display when it fails to get the correct exp. This happens occasionally, although usually under different circumstances to this.

...Or maybe the answer is actually "yes" and I've just never noticed—maybe it has always been like this. Still don't think so though, yet maybe. ^^

It was not a display issue as even the green daily exp bar only showed a one. I also know it was the same question as it was marked as weak when I answered and I only have one weak question as of now.

WOAH... I decided to test the problem on a different account... The bug is much worse than even what you described! It's a deeper problem, affecting "Kanji" question type questions only, to do with the way it awards EXP. Hopefully it might get fixed soon. ^^

I'm really sorry... I just fixed the problem. thank you for the report!

Looks like I was slightly wrong. Turns out what was actually affected were all questions that were in your "Weak" list, not simply all "Kanji" questions. Tested it now after Beeant fixed it and and can confirm the problem has gone. Thanks Beeant. ^^

@shirokitsune, The answer to your original question is: "both yes and no"! You only receive 1 EXP (regardless of combo) for answering any question (whether Kanji or Vocabulary) IF that question is marked "Weak" upon encountering it. I didn't realise this before, but this is intentionally the way it has been designed to work.

So, if you encounter a question, click 1-3 wrong answer choices, and then quit the page without clicking the correct answer choice... Then, when you next encounter that question again:
・If that question is now marked "Weak" (such as it would be if the previous time was your first time encountering that question), then you will receive only 1 EXP (and no combo bonus EXP) when you click the correct answer choice.
・If that question isn't marked "Weak", then you will receive normal EXP (including combo bonus EXP).

That seems kind of like a harsh punishment. I kind of understand if you have missed the word 4 or 5 times and it is weak but if it is your first encounter with a question you should not be reduced to 1 exp for the next 2 to 3 encounters...
