hearing the words over again and in a certain context instills them in your brain.
The best would be to learn words that appear specifically in that Japanese film or anime, then watch it. That way, you will be reviewing all the words learned right away, since you can guarantee that you will get to hear every word you learnt before.

He uses text-to-speech instead of reading it out himself, which I don't like, but at least you can get the list of vocabulary in the description.
