when i think deshou i think of a word like ikimashou or ikou which means let's run.

"de aru yo" = である + the particle よ
↳ sound change → だよ "da yo"
"deshou" = でせ (irrealis base of です) + the auxiliary verb う
"darou" = であら (irrealis base of である) + the auxiliary verb う
でせう "deseu"
↳ sound change → でしょう "deshou"
であらう "de arau"
↳ sound change → であろう "de arou"
