Ok, regarding the word なくなる which is shown in the pic below which means "die" in this case, wouldn't it be better if it was written with the proper Kanji character like this: 亡くなる? The なくなる form of "die" is the formal one while しぬ(死ぬ) is more casual or informal even. Just a suggestion from someone who prefers to use Kanji whenever possible.

    Personally I think 亡くなる should be listed as pass away

    yea when I was talking about someone who died my Japanese friend said to use なくなった to mean passed away. I had said 死にました。

    Yes, that's why I said its the formal version of dying. Passed away sounds softer.
