  Hi there, I learned after this kind of books, the bad thing is that are in Japanese so it's kind of difficult at first but when you get use to it it is so fun!

  Try remembering the kanji, I don't think it are the original explanations but it helps you remember them through stories such as the example you posted ( white year 百 take away 一 = 白(..) ). Give it a try :D http://lmgtfy.com/?q=remembering+the+kanji+pdf+1
