Recommendation: Lovers of this site might also like the android app Kotoba-chan. learn thousands of Japanese vocabulary through multiple choice quizes. JLPT levels, common words and newspaper words. It keeps track of your progress. You can reset progress too. Sample sentences. Offline use...no internet/wifi required. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ee.yutani.kotoba too bad this is not available for apple or windows users. note to beeant: I wish the notes section quiz scoring worked similarly to this app. The quiz makes you answer each vocab 4 times before you get 100%. You can reset the quiz for future review.

The first app I encounter that does not want to read your contacts or change your online status. Not bad.
Windows phone app recommendation: Tango master - 100% free and has a built in SRS system and has study lists for JLPT levels (broken into kanji and vocab separately), jouyou kanji, RTK, kanji for busy people, common newspaper words, etc. I love the presentation of words as it will pronounce any of them for you and even draws out the strokes for you. Also has a level type system so it keeps me motivated to use it everyday. This app also has an amazing kanji look up system and even has shitori built in too!
