How should I start hiragana?

To learn it quickly, might I suggest Dr. Moku (http://drmoku.com/). It comes on PC/iPhone/iPad/Android. Though everyone's different, I actually managed to get to the point where I could recognize and correctly identify all Hiragana and most Katakana in an hour and a half. The app is about $2, and to get past one of the most frustrating hurdles that quickly was worth every penny...
