    That's a Chinese character: 间 The only other time I've seen it used in Japanese was in the name Yukie Nakama on Chinese sites. 仲间 Is how I mostly see Yukie on Chinese sites. Now I think 間 is usually used in Japanese in place of 间 (Yukie in Japanese is 仲間). I could be wrong. That is what my research has led me to believe, though.

    just saw it again "その间に英雄の....(kanji i cant read) etc. do you know what it means in this context?

    It's just an abbreviated for the character 間 normally seen in hand written.

    その = that
    间 = 間 (あいだに) = space, gap, interval, period, ...

    その間に = "in the meantime", "during that time"

    Also, 仲間 (なかま) is a common word meaing "companion, colleague, partner mate, ...". So 仲間たち is plural of this, meaning "companions". ^^

    * 間 (あいだ)
    Just noticed I accidentally added the に particle onto the end of the reading. Wish we could edit posts, because I don't like leaving errors that might cause confusion for new learners.

    I played Kingdom Hearts on PS2 too and haven't yet gotten around to buying the HD remixes. I'm considering getting the Japanese version like you have done. I can imagine Kingdom Hearts having a relatively easier Japanese text than the stories in many other games, and I should be able to remember the story well enough to follow along anyway. Definitely seems like it should be a good game to pick for Japanese practice. :)

    What game is this? Do you guys use Japanese video games as practice?

    @temrpro43 You might have already found out, but as N0s_ mentioned in the previous feed, this game is the Japanese version of Kingdom Hearts 2 HD Remix (for PS3).

    I've tried to struggle through games in Japanese language, Touhou, Final Fantasy 6, FF7: Crisis Core (awesome voice acting-Genesis is voiced by Gackt!), etc. However, eventually it usually feels too tedious and I don't get around to completing them or I just go play the English version... Usually you just want to chill out and have fun playing video games. :P

    I think recently my Japanese reading has improved enough that I might be able to read Kingdom Hearts level of language and story without too much struggling. :)

    However, a better PC video game for learning Japanese -- Slime Forest Adventure! :D

    It's specifically designed to teach Japanese though, so not really the same thing, but it is what I play a lot. I'm rapidly getting close to learning the meanings of a total of 2000-ish kanji through playing it. ^^
