With that translation, that article starts off on a completely different meaning with 米格付け会社 as "rice ratings corporation" and then talking about Japan's national debt.. :D
This happens in every reading article though. Nearly always 米 means America in the article, but it is always listed as こめ "rice" in the vocabulary list. This happens with many other words in all articles. Also, longer complete words often end up broken into smaller parts without the same meaning.
I still like that we're learning lots of vocabulary when doing Readings, even if the tested meaning doesn't match. Luckily I at least have the furigana turned off, so I'm not thrown off course too much when trying to read the article and make sense of it. ^^
The title you copy-pasted has tonnes of furigana mixed in all over the place, making it very awkward to read. Probably simpler to a link to the reading article page:
