I met Hello Kitty today.
Did you see that video I posted yesterday of my student? I assumed she was one of the normal dancers, turns out she was the one inside the Hello Kitty suit. She said there is only one other girl at 'Harmony Land' that fits the costume.
IRL she is super serious, it was weird watching the videos of her dancing like that.

招き猫 (まねきねこ) on the other hand does seem like more of an "idol" rather than a cat! haha. Until a few days ago we had one in our house, which I didn't particularly like as its appearance seemed kind of like an idol statue...
