Yeah, what Vepus and ghotifrye already said.
But also I was wondering what you mean by "not given with a meaning/reading"?
The "kanji" type of Practice questions are where you have to pick the reading in the answers which matches the kanji in the question. So there's no way it would make sense to have the reading shown underneath the question. o.O
I guess the English meaning could have been shown underneath the kanji question. But then people would probably ignore the kanji completely, which would make it just the same as doing "vocabulary" questions.
I might have missunderstood what you meant though.
If you actually were talking about the kanji lessons themselves, then I can understand that problem. Any phrase which is not found in the dictionary that JCJP uses will not have a reading or meaning listed for it.
Like the following question for the 区 kanji in the Kanji chapter 15 test:
http://japaneseclass.jp/lessons/kanji/2/15
Question: 渋谷区
・しながわく
・しぶやく
・しんじゅくく
・はらじゅくく
渋谷区 = 渋谷 (しぶや) "Shibuya" + 区 (く) "ward/district"
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shibuya
Because Shibuya is a name of a place, and not only that but has the suffix added to it, it therefore doesn't have a dictionary entry on JCJP. This means 渋谷区 doesn't get listed on the kanji chapter 15 lesson page at all. So I have no idea how people are meant to know the answer to that question above... ^^;
