What's the difference between 晩御飯 and 晩ご飯? In Genki is is written with ご but in my anki practice deck it shows up as the former. Which is the better one to learn?

they are the same. 晩御飯=晩ご飯=ばんごはん
the kanji 御 is read as ご
Which one is more widely/commonly used?
I'd say 晩ご飯 is most common, first because Genki teaches you so and second because Google comes up with double 3mil results while the other term 1.5mil.
You should probably know both anyway.
I probably should, but I will stick with what is more common for now. There are way too many words already that I have to memorize before school starts. Thanks for the help.- well, i don't know which is more common :) but i usually use 晩ご飯 because ご is easier and faster to write, and suddenly i can't remember how to write the kanji 御
