What does 両学部 mean exactly? I can't find it in dictionaries, and I don't understand what ryou means in this context :( Thank you in advance for your help.

    I already found those separate definitions. Both of what? Is it undergraduate and graduate? All departments? If anyone has actual knowledge of the word or experience with it, please let me know :)

    I've always assumed this to be just a phrase meaning "both departments of learning", which you could use when you have been talking about two departments within a school and then a time comes when you need to refer jointly to both of them.

    両 is just a standard prefix meaning "both", so 両学部 is just a random phrase made up from a prefix 両 and the noun 学部. This is why you shouldn't find it in a dictionary.
