- Do you mean radicals as a Turkish Newspaper? (Googled it xD) or something else?March 6, 2016 at 9:24am
- It's what I am interested in.March 6, 2016 at 10:00am
- No radikals as in the radikals that builds up the kanji
March 6, 2016 at 8:25pm - I know a little about learning kanji radicals. I'm sure many other users do too. Is there anything specific you wanted to ask?March 6, 2016 at 11:12pm
- I read somewhere that almost every/ the most common kanjis are built up on around 100 radikals, that are used within the kanjis. So you could easier identify them.March 6, 2016 at 11:24pm
- example would be 日 which you know means something like " days " so if you get a question around (Years/months/days) you can look for this. because this kanji is build upon those radikals something like thatMarch 6, 2016 at 11:25pm
- It's usually simpler kanjis that then make up others, like you said. You get used to them, I guess, once you've seen a lot of more complex kanjis. 口, 木, 土 are pretty common (there're more, obviously. I just couldn't think of any others on the spot, sorry)March 7, 2016 at 12:00am
- ye exactly. I guess it gets stuck during immerssion (spelling) but just wondered 'cuz I think I saw a site which helped with the radikals that builds up the kanji, which made it easier. If noone knows it's alright I'll keep practicing anyhow:)March 7, 2016 at 12:06am
- "yes" is the answer to all the things you said, pretty much anyway. I didn't see any specific questions. If what you are actually asking for is for some website links explaining about 部首【ぶしゅ】(kanji radicals), then here are a few nice ones:
http://www.sljfaq.org/afaq/radicals.html
http://www.kanjidamage.com/kanji_facts
http://kanjialive.com/214-traditional-kanji-radicals/
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Simplified_table_of_Japanese_kanji_radicals

I learnt the meanings of all the 214 kanji radicals mostly from the last link in that list. I got a better understanding from reading a book which contains oracle bone script and bronze script forms from which the modern forms came from, with opinions on what their original meanings and origins were.March 7, 2016 at 2:00am - Niiiice!March 7, 2016 at 2:01am
- Quite honestly, if you learn the radicals as you go along learning the kanji, it is so much easier! For example, learning one stroke radicals then learning 1-2 stroke kanji. Learning 2 stroke radicals, and 2-3 stroke kanji. Because they really do build on each other. A lot.
So as you were saying before, take 日 as an example. If you learn that is the radical for "sun" then you can learn the kanji because the radical and the kanji are the same. The radical is sun, the kanji is sun. But then you run into the on'yumi and kun'yomi meanings for 日. The on'yumi is にち. The kun'yomi is か or ひ.
Example vocab words good to learn are:
日 = Sun, Day
五日 (ご + か) = Fifth Day
今日("now" + "day" = today) so 今日(きょう) = Today
The only pain in the butt part is knowing when to use on'yumi and kun'yomi.March 7, 2016 at 3:59am - Corrections: 日 by itself is pronounced "ひ”.
