- here are some other sites i found: http://www.guidetojapanese.org/learn/
http://thejapanesepage.com/
https://www.erin.ne.jp/en/

Fun website with learning tips, motivational articles, and lots of other cool stuff. I like the take on Japanese learning, and often participate in challenges and events which are put on here.
maggiesensensei.com
Really helpful, in-depth explanations of intermediate to advanced grammar points, but a bit difficult to navigate.
readthekanji.com
Similar to JCJP. Good for kanji drilling. JLPT N5 level and hiragana/katakana free.
renshuu.org
Grammar, vocab, kanji practice. Fun activities like shiritori and haiku. Last time I checked, free.

Tool for checking how many kanji you can read. I suggest using it infrequently as the questions never change.
italki.com
Interact with and get your writing corrected by native speakers and other learners.

Duolingo.com - Set the site language to "Japanese" and pick the "English" course. Then optionally (recommended) go into the settings and turn both the マイク (mic) and スピーカー (speakers) options to オフ (off).
As long as you are able to navigate the site in Japanese, then doing the English course in Japanese language feels almost as good as if you are doing a Japanese course. Duolingo is very good for practicing sentence composition. And it is a good chance to use some of the vocabulary you've learned from here on JCJP. ^^March 27, 2016 at 1:48am
